The PREP Academy is inviting African Nova Scotian College and University students to our next Job Shadow Day at Emera and NS Power in Halifax. Providing students with an opportunity to explore the sustainable energy sector and to get a better understanding of the job options available in today’s industry, job shadowing will also help encourage one of PREP’s goals to connect African NS students to meaningful and inclusive organizations.

PREP's College & University Expo is a 1-day event bringing together grade 12 African Nova Scotian students from across the province to engage with colleges and universities across Atlantic Canada. The Expo enhances and increases the experience and representation of Black students and Black support on campus. This event allows students and parents to explore program options, meet and engage with campus staff and apply to be considered for early admissions for FREE!
What schools will be there? NSCC, DAL/Kings, SMU, StFX, Acadia, MSVU, NSCAD, CBU, Holland College, Mount Allison, and St Thomas!

Food and refreshments will be provided: sandwiches, wraps, veggie trays, etc. Household family members are welcome to attend, including younger siblings. Please indicate the number of people who will be attending from your family in your registration.

The PREP Academy and St. Francis Xavier University are excited to invite African Nova Scotian high school students, along with one parent or guardian to participate in a university campus tour!
Participants will be picked up from one of the pick-up locations and brought to St. FX by the university's coach bus! Students and parents/guardians will have the opportunity to spend the day touring campus, meeting faculty and current students, meeting with Black student supports on campus, and learning more about the opportunities at St.FX University. Lunch and transportation is provided. Unfortunately, because of this we are only able to bring a select number of students. This tour will be first come first serve.
