Black Tutors Canada Inc. connects students with Black tutors across Canada. To honour Black History Month and to celebrate our upcoming 4-year anniversary (September 2026), Black Tutors Canada Inc. is excited to announce the second Black Tutors Canada Inc. – I Qualify Scholarship, aimed at supporting Canadian Black students in their academic journeys. Please read the following important information before applying. NOTE: By applying and submitting any documents, images, pictures, or videos, you consent to Black Tutors Canada Inc. sharing them on our social media platforms, blog, and website, including your name, age, school board, program of study, and the institution you were accepted into, and you must agree to sit for a recorded interview. Black Tutors Canada Inc. will freely use these documents and information accordingly.

Eligibility

Eligibility:

Must identify as culturally, socially, demographically, ancestry Black (i.e., African, Caribbean, Afro-Canadian, Afro-Indigenous and of the African-diaspora).
Must be accepted into a post-secondary institution in Canada as a full-time student for the 2026-2027 academic year – OR – already enrolled in a post-secondary school.

Submission and Application Details

Application requirement (steps 1-5):

Sign up on our website (www.blacktutorscanada.ca): create a “Student/Service user” account.
Follow us on our social media platforms, “like” and “share” this post.
Personal Statement (250-500 words): Email to info@blacktutorscanada.ca
Provide proof of post-secondary acceptance/enrollment no later than April 7, 2026. Email ‘Acceptance Letter’ or Timetable to info@blacktutorscanada.ca.
Provide a clear headshot photograph of yourself (you can use your smartphone to take the picture).
