Let’s get excited about those crucial first steps, daring attempts, and day one of life’s incredible journeys. It’s during these moments people choose to bet on themselves and carve out their unique mark on the world.
Ten lucky Atlantic Canadians entering their first year of post-secondary education have the chance to snag a bursary worth $2,500 each. (There are also 100 swag packages to be won!)
We’re calling on all dream-chasers, trailblazers, and young visionaries to apply. Whether you’re diving into entrepreneurship or on a quest for social impact, Year|One wants to hear from you!
Eligibility
The YEAR | ONE Bursary Challenge (the "Challenge") is open to any student entering their first year of post-secondary education at an Atlantic Canadian post-secondary institution.
Applicants must show proof of enrollment. Payment will be delivered to their education institution toward tuition.
Employees, agents, and representatives of the Challenge Sponsor and its affiliated companies, as well as the immediate family members and persons living in the same household of such employees, agents, and representatives are not eligible to participate.
Submission and Application Details
To enter the Challenge, participants must submit an entry in writing (no more than 250 words) explaining why they should be considered for the YEAR | ONE Bursary. Entries must be submitted through the Challenge website at year-one.ca during the Challenge Period. The Challenge Sponsor will select finalist entries that they deem to be the most deserving based on the criteria listed in section 4 below. These finalists will be required to submit a two (2) minute video pitch explaining why they should be selected to receive the YEAR | ONE Bursary, which will then get narrowed down to 10 winners.
