
The QEII Foundation Diversity in Health Care Bursaries support students who identify as African Nova Scotian/Black; Indigenous; Racialized; Immigrant; 2SLGBTQIA+; experiencing physical, cognitive or learning limitations that impact activities of daily living; or have intersectionality of these identities, in their pursuit of post-secondary education in a health-related profession with a goal of having a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects Nova Scotian communities.
Eligibility
To be considered, bursary applicants are:
- A Canadian Citizen or permanent resident
- A resident of Nova Scotia (with a permanent mailing address in Nova Scotia)
- Identify as: African Nova Scotian/Black, Indigenous, Racialized, Immigrant, 2SLGBTQIA+, or as experiencing physical, cognitive or learning limitations that impact activities of daily living
- Accepted and enrolled in full or part-time studies for the 2023-2024 academic yearwith a declared major in a health-related field at a Canadian post-secondary institution that is recognized by Universities Canada, in a health-related program at Nova Scotia Community College, or at a recognized healthcare technology institution

The applications of candidates who meet the above considerations will be forwarded to the selection committee. Applications are evaluated on a number of factors including:

Financial need
Educational goals and field of study in health care
