About the award
The NextLevel Student Scholarship is available to current NSCC Indigenous African Nova Scotian students who are graduating and transitioning to a university to complete their 2+2 program.
NSCC offers students the opportunity to combine college and university. More than 70 NSCC programs include courses that count towards a university degree. A two-year NSCC diploma may be recognized for up to two years of a four-year university degree. Please contact the institution you would like to attend and ask about their transfer credit process.
The PREP Academy is a community based non-profit organization that inspires and prepares African Nova Scotian students for college and university. In partnership with NSCC Foundation, these awards are generously funded by the Jeannine Deveau Achievement Fund.
Eligibility
Open to full or part-time students graduating from an NSCC program this spring that is eligible for advanced standing under an established 2+2 agreement. Students must be enrolling in a partner university to complete their 2 + 2 program in the 2023-24 academic year.

- Proof of enrollment at a partner university offering 2+2 transfer agreement with NSCC
- Experience with the PREP Academy – alumni of the program
- Self-identification: African Nova Scotian
