applicant must be a Black African Nova Scotian student
applicant must be enrolled as full time student in a recognized university degree (undergraduate) program
applicant must be a graduate of the Nova Scotia school system
applicant must have demonstrated leadership qualities through participation in community affairs, student activities or athletics

Additional Information:

this award is also available to second, third and fourth year university students who have successfully completed their first, second and/or third year and remain as a full-time student in their subsequent year of study in their undergraduate degree
Fourth year funding was introduced in 2018-19 and is not retroactive
students must submit an application each year to be considered for award
awards for second, third and fourth year students are based on satisfactory academic standing
