Scholarship Details
PREP’s Legacy Scholarship will provide four $2,000 scholarships to PREP Cohort students entering a college or university in September 2023.
The scholarship can be used for tuition, registration fees, books, school supplies and other fees to help you be successful in college or university.
The 2022 Legacy Scholarship is open and will close on May 31st, 2023. Students will be selected and notified in early June 2023.
Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
- A Grade 12 African Nova Scotian student entering college or university in September 2023
- This scholarship is open to any program and field of study
Application Process
Step 1:
- Students must complete PREP’s student surveys as part of their application process for this scholarship.
- Student surveys allow PREP to understand how our programs help students. One of the best ways to do this is to hear from our current students like you. Your feedback matters to us and can help improve services for future students.
Step 2:
- In 200 words, share how The PREP Academy inspired and or helped you prepare for college and university.
Step 3:
- Choose 1 of the following themes, write and submit a 400 word essay on the topic of your choice. Make it your own!
- Theme Options: Career Choice, Culture, Social Justice, Personal Inspiration, Education or Community
Step 4:
- Get a copy of your letter of acceptance from your college or university
Step 5:
- Get a copy of your high school transcript
Step 6:
- Download all your documents and email them to kaisen@theprepacademy.ca by May 31st, 2023!
