The Efficiency Nova Scotia Bright Futures Award is now open for applications. This award aims to expand and diversify the energy efficiency sector in Nova Scotia by encouraging students to pursue a career in this field. It’s a fantastic opportunity for NSCC students enrolled in Year 1 of programs like Electronic Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Carpentry, Power Engineering, and more.
There are 5 awards in total, each award is a $2000 NSCC Bursary. Awards will be given to:
One Mi’kmaw/Indigenous student
One African Nova Scotian student
One person in Mainland Nova Scotia (excluding HRM)
One person in Halifax (HRM)
One person in Cape Breton
The application assessment will consider your commitment and interest in the program, how your career will advance efficiency and the way we use energy in Nova Scotia in the next 10 years, and good academic standing.
Eligibility
This is a $2000 NSCC Bursary for 1 ANS student planning to attend NSCC in one of the following 10 disciplines:
(Open to full and part-time students who will be enrolled in year 1 of eligible programs at any campus where the eligible programs are offered.)
Building Systems Technician (HVAC&R)
Carpentry
Carpentry – Diploma
Electrical – Industrial Maintenance and Controls
Electrical Construction and Industrial
Electrical Technician
Electronic Engineering Technology
Environmental Engineering Technology – Water Resources
Power Engineering Technology
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning – Geothermal
